Sometimes an indulgent day out is just what travellers need when they head to the lovely city of London. This brilliant destination is ideal for tourists who just want to have a fun day out with fellow travellers. Kensington is a wonderful place to head to that has a great list of things to do for a day out. It offers culture, shopping and amazing eateries that will fill the day up with entertaining activities. Kensington High Street is one of the best shopping roads the city has as it provides a lengthy list of designer, high street and boutique shops to enjoy.


There are popular stores such as Zara, H&M and Gap, as well as Marks and Spencer, Muji and L’Occitane. The road is busy at the weekends but tourists will find weekday mornings are not too bad in terms of shoppers heading there. Travellers who want to head to designer stores can venture to Sloane Street that has the high-end clothing boutiques including Gucci, Prada, Chanel and Giorgio Armani. Visitors will also adore the excellent department stores on offer to them including Harrods, Peter Jones and Harvey Nichols. There are many superb hotels near Harrods London that are worth booking into when heading on holiday there.

There is also the Victoria and Albert Museum that is the city’s leading art and design destination that offers a range of fabulous evening events for travellers to experience.


A wonderful thing to do when heading to this part of London is venturing to a destination that serves afternoon tea. The English tradition of high tea is a fantastic thing to try out when in the capital as travellers can indulge in the finger sandwiches, scones and delicious sweet treats. There are many restaurants, cafes, English pubs and hotels that offer an afternoon tea so travellers should book a slot in for this meal. During a long day of sight-seeing tourists can also book a spa trip to fully unwind at one of the top wellness centres based in the area.
