Places of Interest in Kensington Chelsea

The London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is an important area in central London that offers plenty of things to do and see whether you are alone or whether you are visiting London along with your family. There are innumerable sights located in the borough ranging from the museums in South Kensington to the Royal Kensington Palace, the Royal Albert Hall and the Albert Memorial. The area also has famous areas such as Notting Hill and a whole lot of restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, theatres and cinemas that offer good food, drinks and plenty of entertainment. In short, there are plenty of places to go in Kensington and Chelsea.

For sightseeing in Kensington and Chelsea, you can find plenty of museums, galleries, parks and other places. The museums include the one in Kensington Palace, Leighton House Museum, Natural History Museum, National Army Museum, Science Museum, and Victoria and Albert Museum. The area also has some art galleries such as Royal College of Art, Saatchi Gallery and Serpentine Gallery.

Parks and Gardens
Although this area is quite small, Kensington and Chelsea has two fine parks which are Holland Park located in to the west and Kensington Gardens to the east. Apart from these, there are many open spaces where visitors can find some tranquility and most of these places are free. The open spaces in this area include Brompton Cemetery, Chelsea Psychic Garden, Holland Park, Kensington Gardens, and Meanwhile Gardens.

If you are visiting London and besides all your other plans, you wish to spend some time exploring all that Kensington Chelsea has to offer, it would be best to stay at hotels near Gloucester Road tube station since you would be located close to most of the places of interest in this area.

The other attractions in the area include Albert Memorial, Royal Albert Hall, Harrods, Peter Pan Statue, and Blue Plaques.

The area has plenty of outdoor places to go with your family where you can indulge in many leisure activities and do some sightseeing as well. Most of these are parks, gardens and woodlands. The area also offers farm parks and animal parks where you can get close to nature and to some of the animals. There are some heritage sites and theme parks also in the area.

The area of Kensington Chelsea also offers plenty of places for eating out that provide your needs whether you are looking for a quick snack, coffee and a cake or for some fine dining options. The various such places include cafes, family pubs, family restaurants, grown up restaurants, takeaways and award winning restaurants.
