Discover Cambridge’s Club Culture This New Year’s Eve

Cambridge might seem rather too cutesy and English to be a suitable destination for a New Year celebration but, don’t forget, the city is famous for its colleges and colleges mean students and students mean revelry – especially on New Year’s Eve! So, head to the city and discover some of the best bars, cultured clubs and riverside restaurants. It isn’t all countryside pubs and karaoke, you know.

Happy New Year

Novi is a strange combination of botanical garden, restaurant and bar. Their tailor-made cocktails draw flavour from the many plants growing on their living roof and you can expect the unexpected with flavours of rose petals, sage, ginger and vanilla. Novi’s themed New Year’s Eve bash promises all that is golden, with live entertainment and dancing into the night. Come dressed in something shiny and party ‘til the sun goes down’.

On the down lo

Lola Lo is an exclusive club offering a distinct vibe and attracting some of the trendiest students and offering a tropical experience in its Tiki-styled bar. They will be celebrated New Year’s Eve with a Midnight Brunch Ball, incorporating potent cocktails, lots of music, a carnival atmosphere and complimentary canapes. This black-tie event promises heart-pounding dance music and a delectable level of decadence at one of the best bars in Cambridge.

Midsummer midnight

Midsummer House has a proudly British feel to its menu with adventurous amuse-bouches and serious main courses, including their signature dish of “scallop, truffle and apple” which features apples from their own kitchen garden. Set in a Victorian villa, with two heard-earned Michelin stars, this is one of the best restaurants in Cambridge, but quality comes at a price, so book early and start saving!

Put on your dancing shoes

Celebrating New Year party-2018

For music aficionados who want to dance the night away, Fez club is the natural choice. Serious, underground music will be blasting away until the early hours, with some of the country’s top DJs. The Middle-Eastern inspired club is a hotspot for students and visitors alike and promise heavy house tunes and delicious cocktails, as well as taste-bud tingling treats with a Middle-Eastern flavor.

Raise the Baroosh

If you want a more cosy venue to see in the New Year, head to the centrally situated Baroosh, which is close to most hotels in Cambridge. A relaxed yet sophisticated environment and warm welcome will get your evening off to a great start. Try their Thai dishes or tuck into a Devon crab and prawn linguini, pairing it with one of the quality wines from their extensive cellar.

Kudos at Kuda

Kuda is an exclusive nightspot in Cambridge, providing an upmarket clubbing experience in one of the city’s largest clubs. The club will be full of festive fabulousness, bedecked with baubles and glittering along to the RnB beats that will keep you partying all night. Their hard-core music is complemented by some hard-core drink offers and surprising cocktails. Limited VIP tickets are available for those who want a little more exclusivity.

Whether you’re looking for a more cultured, laid-back New Years’ experience or want to work up a sweat on the dance floor, you’ll find the perfect venue on the cobbled streets of Cambridge. Dress up, step out and pull out your best party grooves for a night to remember.
