Eat My Pies is typical British street food at its best. Attending fare such as scotch eggs, pork pies and custard tarts, Eat My Pies objectives are to “make inordinate British food available to the prodigious British public”. And that they do, in scoops.

Bleeker street burger
This food truck on a task brings New York burgers to London’s Southbank, presenting Londoners how it’s done. Bleecker Street’s mixture of venerable meat, bushy toasted buns, American cheese and hand-cut fries is incontrovertibly good. For any London-based Yankees feeling homesick, this should do the trick.

Horn Okay Please
Originate at Borough Market maximum days, at KERB on Wednesdays, and pop-up occasions through the capital, Horn OK Please is continuously in demand. Serving up wonderful Indian street food that is equally vegetarian and reasonable – it’s perhaps worth remembering these kids also gratify events.

With one street food truck centered outside their Southbank cafeteria, and another outside their eatery at Canary Wharf, Wahaca’s Mexican Street Pantry offers a quick and permanent solution for anyone too hungry to get in line.

Pizza piligrims
Two pilgrims with a desire and passion for pizza run this town. Keep an eye out for their movable pizza van, which is now based at Leather Lane Market only for five days a week, or settle down for a slice at their newer, less mobile Dean Street location.

Anna Mae’s smokehouse
Acclaimed masterminds behind London’s lenient mac ‘n’ cheese trend, Anna Mae’s Smokehouse does great pan comfort food, BBQ and the full southern feast. One can find them at festivals and street food markets, or even in your own courtyard.

Serving up Southern-style street food, Anna Mae’s has become a hit with Londoners lacking a little pulled pork and ‘slaw in their lives. The Notorious P I G (Anna’s name for a pulled-pork sandwich) is smoked for 14 hours, then smothered in their name barbecue sauce, topped with pickled red onions and served with a cup of ‘slaw. Just make certain you take adequate serviettes! Anna Mae’s is open on every Thursday 7-10pm at The Shop NW10 (75 Chamberlayne Road, NW10) and sometimes at Eat.St King’s Cross.

Tongue’s Cheek
Originated on a humble concept menu of tongues and cheeks, Tongue ’n Cheek have since split out to substantial offerings of heartbreak burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, and no-lobster rolls. You can frequently find them at KERB King’s Cross, Berwick Street Market or Brockley Market.
