While there do not miss visiting Eureka, the subtropical house that is home to an exotic collection of flora, butterflies and birds. Some of the animals that can be seen at the zoo include monkeys, lemurs, sloths and a variety of primates. There are the big cats enclosures that feature cheetahs, Amur tigers and the very rare and elusive snow leopards. In the birds section there are parrots, flamingos, ibis and pheasants. A major draw with visitors is the exciting Penguin Colony where visitors get to catch a close up view of black footed penguins at the zoo.
There are great place to eat with a variety of cafes and restaurants with many of the menus featuring favourite dishes of the kids. Banham Zoo is a wonderful place to spend an exciting day out with the family.
