Edinburgh Arts Festivals 2012

The Edinburgh Fringe is the world’s one of the biggest arts festivals, which is organized during the August and runs for three weeks every year. Thousands of artists from around the world participate in the event, showcasing their talent. The first event took place in 1947, where eight uninvited groups demonstrated their piece of work and event was considered as project formed to rejoice and deepen the European culture.  The individual artists and groups come and showcase their inner talent in form of theatre, comedy, dance and many more. It is a festival which can be enjoyed with the family. Here are some of the best features from the event.

Rumplestiltskin’s Grimm Tales

It is a blend of storytelling and performance by BG Touring Company. It is an endeavor by the theater students at Bishop Grosseteste University, addressing 3+ kids.

Cinderella: The Musical

The act Cinderella is reframed with lots of humor and amazing performance by the singers, dancers.

Baby Loves Disco                                                                                                                                                                                            

It is a day party for the kids between 0-7 years, involving classic disco, bubble machine and dancing. This year it was held at the Electric Circus on Market Street.

Bernard the Ferret

Bernard is renowned as an amazing street performer on the Royal Mile. This year Bernard performed at Oxgangs Library and introduced books in his show with storytelling followed by puppet show.
